"Working Sail, a life in wooden boats" by Luke Powell

The author's story of his path from growing up around sailing vessels in Greece, to working for others as a shipwright, then finally designing and building his own brand of Scillonian Pilot Cutters.  Coffee table sized book, 240 pages, lots of color photos of yard, his shop, many vessels and his building crew.

Pleanty about his personal life, women, mis-adventures and triumphs with really great pics of the building of the vessels...not really any in-depth discussion of the "how-to", which is what I was hoping for. Luke tells what happens along the way and how he feels about what he did, less about how he actually "built" his crafts.

Still, overall, time well spent drooling over delicious wooden boats after the fashion of hardy designs and simpler tastes.
