2007 Woodenboat Show/Mystic CT

Hi, all,

Who will be going to the show? The ASA will have a "booth" hosted on When & If? is that right?? Where did I read that.... Any unofficial ASA get-together in the planning phase like a breakfast or happy-hour? Anyone interested in such? Name the time and place and we'll show up! We'd love to link up with other ASA folks while we're there. We'll be at the show (sans-Mahdee, of course, she's in San Diego!) Friday-Sunday and would love to get together with other ASA members while in Mystic.

Best to all,
Brenda and David

WoodenBoat Show/Mystic

Hi Brenda and David -

Bobby and Roberta Pulsch were going to bring Heron to the boat show this year on behalf of the ASA, which regrettably is no longer possible. Peter and Jeannette Phillipps have very kindly and enthusiastically agreed to bring Voyager to Mystic and stand in for Heron. They are currently completing the last leg of their 15 year around the world voyage on Voyager and are currently departing Antigua for New England. It will be exciting to see Voyager and the Phillips after so many years!

There will be a number of us in and around Mystic that weekend. Unfortunately, this year I will only be able to attend for one day. The Pulsch family will be in attendance, in addition to Fred and Mary Anne, Sam Hoyt, Jim, and others. We usually see another dozen or so members unannounced. Nothing is formally planned at this time, but that is usually pretty easy to remedy.

If you or anyone else wish to get a feel for who else may be attending, please feel free to e-mail me through the website (editor@amschooner.org) and perhaps we can string a few other people together by e-mail and see what plans might emerge.

Kindest Regards

Peter Thompson

Ps How is Mahdee coming along?

WoodenBoat Show/Mystic

I may yet make it, for part of the weekend, anyway. Anybody from NJ/PA/Chesapeake going whom I can carpool/boatpool with?

Norie, Nikki and I will be at the show probably for all three days. Please keep us posted if any events are planned.

Start stringing!

Hi, Peter,

I sent you an email--things are coming along fine with Mahdee. Visit her blog to see the latest!

Looking forward to meeting some of the members at the show.

car pool from south

Schooner Cashier and anyone else coming from the south,

We're flying in from the west coast. But we have a friend who's driving up from Washington DC and meeting us in Mystic for the show. He would probably appreciate the sharing gas/toll since he's on a tight budget. I think he's driving up Friday during the day, but I haven't confirmed with him yet exactly when he's headed up and the route he's taking. Let us know if you want to coordinate with him.

I think you can email us through the site here...I'll go figure that out right now!
