Around the World in 5,475 Days

This year's Annual Meeting in Mystic features a talk by Peter and Jeanette Phillips about their circumnavigation in VOYAGER. If you were fortunate enough to attend the Wooden Boat Show last summer, you would have seen this beautiful 1929 Alden 309, designed by Aage Nielsen. Here she is in the 2007 Gloucester Schooner Race.

Voyager Design Number

Correction: Voyager is an Alden 390, originally named Tyrone, and the second built from this beautiful design. Nine 390s are listed as having been built from 1928 - 1932. And she is a very big 7 feet longer than the smaller 43 foot 309s (also designed by AN).
