WoodenBoat Show Sightings

Jeanette and Sam Hoyt were on hand early to set up and man the booth. The location was perfect...in the shade, next to the water, with SUMMERWIND and REBECCA on the outer flanks. Roberta and Bob Pulsch returned with ROBERTA P for an encore visit. In 2011 Bob was awarded First Place in the Owner Built Sailboat Category and has since added a number of exquisite details to ROBERTA P, a 1900 B B Crowninshield catboat design. Single-hander Lee Werth is on 'sabbatical' from his round trip to Portugal in RENEGADE. If you have been following his stories in Wing and Wing it may be no surprise that he had to take a brief time out for body repairs. He will soon return to the BVI where RENEGADE is resting, and we are hoping to see him in New England this summer. Lest you get the idea there were only seniors on hand -- this is junior member Nate Villaire aboard a Ford V-8 powered Boatercycle that was parked nearby. Nate was our photographer and he has logged many miles on GREEN DRAGON.

re WB Sightings

Looks like it was a good event with great weather. Roberta P is gorgeous, beautiful work Bobby, wish I was that good. How was the Friday night tribute to G&B?

WB Sightings -- WINFIELD LASH

I was unable to stay over for the tribute but I reckon Sam will have some words in the next W&W.

Dave Clarke from WINFIELD LASH spent some time with us at the show where he shared some recipes for his great looking brightwork. Then, last weekend WL spent a couple nights with us at Crocker's Boat Yard. This somehow lead GD's ever-alert Amy to go poking around on the internet where she stumbled upon this article
