request for help/advice for ELF - free/cheap dockage in southern New England?

Many of you will remember Rick Carrion and ELF, the 1888 Lawley half-schooner that Rick and the Classic Yacht Restoration Guild rebuilt over the course of 17 years.

Rick is getting ready to leave for the Wooden Boat Show in Mystic, and I am writing on his behalf to ask for any leads you may be able to provide regarding free or cheap dockage along the transit route (likely Phila - Cape May - Block I - Mystic, but possibly going up LI Sound, depending on the weather).

Also, there's a possibility that ELF will head over to Bristol and Newport, and maybe as far as Boston, if Rick can get free/cheap places to stay, or heaven forbid, even a bit of an appearance fee.

If any of you have leads or suggestions (your yacht club, maybe?) where ELF can stay, please contact me at or 302.545.5164, or Rick at 443.566.2212.

And be sure to stop in and say hi to Rick and ELF at the Wooden Boat Show (or June 20-21 at Independence Seaport Museum's boat show in Philadelphia).
